In honor of The Commentator’s celebration of women this month, I thought it would be perfect to check out ARP, Lady Tigra, and Electrocute at Spaceland on February 10th. Music covering various genres filled the venue and all delivered by some wonderful female talent.

ARP started the night with a great mix of modern funk and disco.  The Los Angeles and London-based group had a great showing and definitely got the crowd pumped with catchy songs like “Dance All Night” and “Get it Right.”  Lead singer Amber Dawn’s energy set the tone for what was to come.

Next up was electro hip-hop veteran Lady Tigra. She took the stage complete with back-up singer and DJ/producer “IQ.” Crowd control was definitely her forté as she was able to teach fans her lyrics and end her set with a dance party on stage.

The night ended with indie-pop darlings Electrocute. Their '80s-inspired electro pop makes it hard not to dance and just have fun. Lead singers Nicole and Legs definitely had the crowd humming their tunes on the way out. Overall, the show proved there is a lot of female talent just waiting to be discovered.
